Washing:

1. Hand wash recommended: 

• Always hand wash embroidered chiffon in cool or lukewarm water (below 30°C/86°F) with a mild detergent meant for delicate fabrics.

2. Machine wash (if necessary): 

• If you must machine wash, use a gentle cycle and place the garment in a mesh laundry bag to protect the embroidery.

3. Avoid harsh chemicals: 

• Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, or strong detergents, as these can damage both the chiffon fabric and the embroidery.

Drying:

1. Air dry: 

• After washing, gently squeeze out excess water (do not wring or twist) and lay the chiffon flat on a clean, dry towel. Reshape the garment to its original form.

2. Avoid tumble drying: 

• Never tumble dry chiffon, as heat can cause the fabric to shrink or lose its structure.

3. Do not hang: 

• Hanging chiffon may stretch the fabric, so always lay it flat to dry whenever possible.

Ironing/Steaming:

1. Use low heat: 

• Iron on a low setting (silk or delicate option) and place a cloth or a thin towel between the iron and the fabric to prevent direct contact with the chiffon.

2. Steaming: 

• Alternatively, use a steamer on a low setting to gently remove wrinkles without pressing directly on the embroidered areas.

3. Avoid heavy pressure: 

• Be careful around the embroidered sections; too much pressure can distort the stitches.

Storage:

1. Store in a cool, dry place: 

• Keep embroidered chiffon clothing away from heat and sunlight, as these can weaken the fibers and cause fading.

2. Use a padded hanger: 

• Hang garments in a closet on a padded or wide hanger to prevent stretching or distortion. If the item is particularly delicate, consider storing it in a fabric garment bag.

3. Avoid hanging with heavy items: 

• Don’t store heavy items next to chiffon, as they could snag or damage the fabric and embroidery.

Spot Cleaning:

• For small stains, gently blot with a soft cloth and cool water. Avoid rubbing, as this could damage the embroidery.

• Use a mild stain remover formulated for delicate fabrics, but always test it on an inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't affect the color or fabric.
