Care instructions:

1. Sorting and Pre-Treatment:

• Separate dark colours from lights to prevent colour bleeding. Wash darks first if there's any concern about dye transfer.

• Pretreat stains as soon as possible with a stain remover suitable for the type of stain. Follow the specific instructions on the stain remover.

2. Washing:

• Temperature: Use cold water for washing pleated garments. Hot water can relax the pleats and make them less defined.

• Washing cycle: Choose the delicate or permanent press cycle. Avoid using an agitator setting, which can disrupt the pleats.

• Washing bag (Optional): Consider using a mesh washing bag to provide additional protection for the garment and minimise snags.

• Hand washing (Recommended): For delicate pleats or heavily soiled garments, hand washing is the safest option. Fill a basin with cool water and detergent, gently swish the garment, and then rinse thoroughly.

3. Drying:

• Tumble drying (Not recommended): Avoid tumble drying pleated garments, as the heat and tumbling action can distort the pleats. If absolutely necessary, use the lowest heat setting and remove the garment promptly.

• Air drying (Highly recommended): Air drying is the best way to preserve pleats. Hang the garment on a sturdy hanger, smoothing out the pleats gently by hand.
