Featuring 20 new designs, the campaign is fronted by Deborah Henry and Fyza Kadir, filled with messages of optimism and hope for the future
KUALA LUMPUR, 22 March 2021 - Following up on the success of last year’s Aidilfitri collection, Larney takes it up a notch this Raya season with a new collection named INTO THE LIGHT by LARNEY. With a glossy campaign fronted by two of Malaysia’s most celebrated women, Deborah Henry and Fyza Kadir, the message of the collection is a continuation from 2020’s theme but with a lot more hope, optimism and buoyancy for what the future may hold.
Staying true to the aesthetics of LARNEY that is known for their feminine and sophisticated design, the brand also named each of its Raya looks with uplifting monikers such as the Recover Lace Kurung, Rebirth Caftan, Relive Lace Kebaya, Recreate Kurung Kedah, Rebalance Pareo Kurung and Revamp Puffed Kurung. According to Zura Zabidi, the brand founder of LARNEY, “We have 20 new designs to choose from this year ranging from the simple and the lockdown crowd favourite such as the caftan and kurung Kedah, to the more dramatic and and modern look such as the tulle mini kurung which is the house signature”.
INTO THE LIGHT by LARNEY is divided into two segments. The first being LARNEY’s introduction of its new and fresh looks that came with new silhouette. The second segment comprises of previous popular looks but with new colours, for example the Lockdown Kurung has now been intriguingly renamed as Lockdown 2.0 Kurung. “The choice of using Deborah Henry and Fyza Kadir to front this campaign encapsulates the spirit of this whole collection. They are not just known for their beauty and grace, but their confidence in successfully juggling between their career and personal life.
